Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ShowFlow, a native iOS application available on the Apple App Store ("the App"), and the website at showflow.media ("the Site"). The App and Site are operated by an independent developer ("we", "us", "the Developer"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, or by visiting the Site, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download or use the App.
1. The App
ShowFlow is a TV tracking application for iPhone running iOS 17.6 or later. It allows you to maintain a personal library of television shows and episodes, view air-date information, mark episodes as watched, receive local notifications for upcoming episodes, and see information about where shows are available to stream. All processing occurs on your device. The App does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information.
2. License
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, subject to the App Store Terms of Service from Apple Inc. and these Terms. You may not:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except where this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices in the App;
- Distribute, sublicense, lease, sell, or rent the App or your access to it;
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable law, infringes the rights of others, or interferes with the rights or use of the App by anyone else.
3. Third-party data and services
The App displays TV-related metadata sourced from TVMaze under the Creative Commons BY-SA 4.0 license. This information is provided as-is and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any third-party data displayed in the App.
The App may link to or open third-party streaming applications (Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV+, Max, Disney+, Prime Video, Paramount+, Peacock, and others). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of any third-party service.
4. Your content and data
The App stores your library, watched-state, tags, and preferences locally on your device. You retain all rights to that data. Optionally, the App can write a backup file to your iCloud Drive — that file is yours, you control it, and we have no access to it. You are responsible for keeping appropriate backups of your data; while ShowFlow's iCloud backup feature is intended to make this easy, we cannot guarantee against data loss caused by device failure, OS bugs, your iCloud account state, or any other cause.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP AND SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY OF THIRD-PARTY DATA SHOWN IN THE APP.
6. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE APP OR SITE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN ANY CASE, OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR (B) FIVE U.S. DOLLARS (USD $5.00).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.
7. Apple's role
Apple Inc. is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. To the extent your use of the App is on an Apple-branded device, Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you. The Apple Standard End User License Agreement applies to the extent it is more protective of your rights than these Terms.
8. Changes to the App and these Terms
We may update the App at any time, and we may add, change, or remove features. We may also revise these Terms; if we do, the "Last updated" date will change. Your continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We may discontinue the App, withdraw it from the App Store, or terminate these Terms at any time and for any reason. Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, and 11 will survive termination.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
11. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Developer regarding the App and Site. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
